What the video reveal about the living conditions in the urban areas during the Gilded Age, was that most of the immigrants during this time lived in tenement housing. The housing that that the immigrants lived in, were homes that were in torn down, over-populated, unsanitary, lack of privacy, lack of light, and most importantly the quality of the air was terrible. The reason why I believe that the quality of the air is important is, because, the quality of the air will determine the rate disease will spread, as a result of the quality of the air, tuberculosis was common.
