When a horse bucked and rolled over on her, Liz Romine had been left with a brain injury and a trip to the hospital. After it had bucked her, the horse ran off and died. The accident nearly cost Romine her life. In the past, Romine could not sit or walk because her feet did not respond. Despite these obstacles, she has recovered on an impressive level. She can now walk, and she knows her mother, friends and family.
While the TBI has receded, it left a fog in the aftermath. Nevertheless, Romine has such a passion for horse riding that she still wants to ride. On Thursday, the student who is involved in the equestrian studies program will be released from the inpatient rehabilitation center. Even now, it will require months of careful rehabilitation to enjoy the sport of horse riding. Nevertheless, Romine had to exert great effort to ride even when younger her mother had said. When she was 12, she started a paper route so that she could afford her lessons. She went to one per week. Romine later continued to fund her lessons by becoming the go-to laundry person of the Romine family. Liz had three brothers and two sisters.

She says that she has a clouded memory of the day, and she can only remember bits and pieces. She says that she can recall the quiz she took the morning of the incident, and she remembers that she chose to take a horse called Pepper out for a ride. She said that while she remembers taking Pepper for a trot, she does not remember much after that. Instead witnesses of the accident said that the horse had rolled over on her as a result of a heart attack.
