“Lizzie Borden had an axe and gave her mother forty whacks. When she saw what she had done she gave her father forty-one” This famous saying is referring to a woman named Lizzie Borden. Lizzie Borden was born on July 19, 1860, in Fall River Massachusetts. Lizzie Borden is displayed in many ways from TV shows like The Simpsons, books, and even cartoons about her. Lizzie Borden first came into contact with her stepmother in her early childhood after her real mother died. Lizzie Borden’s final encounter with her stepmother was fatal when they were both locked inside of their home. When Lizzie’s stepmother and father was murdered, Lizzie had to face the consequences of what had happened by intense questioning from a member of law enforcement. Lizzie’s father was also murdered the same morning her stepmother was. Lizzie also had to face the consequences for this incident.
