To describe the life of a man so complex is no easy task. A man who had a tough persona, yet was still one of the most loving people you’ll ever meet. Someone who travelled constantly, yet was extremely dedicated to his family. A man who endured more than his fair share of struggles, but always kept a positive attitude, and had a work ethic that was second to none. Someone who always followed his passions and goals to a degree that words could never describe.

There was a timeframe in the book just after Tom was killed, before Helen could find a secure way to earn money for her family; it was a very unstable time for her and her children. Although Helen is portrayed as meek and kindhearted, much like Tom, the overwhelming sadness and pressure may have caused her to break down emotionally, or feel some emotions of vengeance towards a majority of the white community; especially the Ewells. In the novel, the black church provides her with funding and support while Tom is in court.

Emily Riva: Hey JJ, You’ve always told us that if we need any help with anything, especially our faith, we could come to you. Well, I’m struggling. I know I’ll never know why God does some of the things he does, but is it okay to be really mad at him? I had a million feelings and thoughts running through my head, all at once.
It was about midnight, Tango was pushing his limits, galloping full speed. We’d been at this for about a hour. My muscles ached from repetitively slamming against the warm saddle, my posture was slipping, hell, I could barely keep my heels down anymore. I cursed under my breath when we came up to a fence, but luckily, I knew this city like the back of my hand. I took a sharp left and Tango sped up.
It is a gloomy late evening in sheolville. Through the little frills of rusty iron window a tiny sneak peak of the hideous gloomy world outside is visible. A dim light inside a petite sized room which hung right above and unmade bed shadowed the dusty furniture around the room. The room radiated an atmosphere of a dark cold cell. Every patient in the institution were filled with their own kind of illusion perceiving their own little world which made them reluctant to be exposed to the reality.
Hello, I’m your narrator, Delana. I’m also one of the two people in the photo. I’m the small one, right next to the Sailor-Moon lover. First things first, we’re strange people. The picture might make you think I look gay, and I guess I am.
After the bridge being blown up, I’d bet all the streets of Wirrawee would be swarming with all those dirty, foreign soldiers. So I insentiently decided to take all the back roads to the hospital. I maneuvered the Landie as best as I could around all the carnage. It was without question one of the most disturbing and distressing things I have ever seen; my home town was gradually being destroyed. Every street I drove down had an eerie silence to it, and most houses seemed to be blown up like

Today me and Slim walked to the bunkhouse together, just chattin’ about the little pup that Slim gave to Lennie, which is moreover a kind gesture of him, since we both know that it means a lot to Lennie. Now the big guy’s got something to pet. I hope this keeps him damn busy, so he won’t do anything stupid which will get us in trouble. Slim commented on the power of Lennie, when he’s buckin’ barley, saying that he almost killed his partner. I felt proud at that moment, and as proud as I am I told him that Lennie can do anything if it doesn’t require much thinking.
