I woke up dizzy and confused. I looked around, no sign of anyone near. I was sitting on an old, rusty bench. I stood up, a bit stiff; the only problem was: where do I go? I followed a trail that led to a huge tree and it was a like a fire bursting with red orange and yellow flames. Finally I ended up in a run down city. Two people were walking behind me; I turned around and asked them, “Is this Londonburg? When I was a boy this city looked way different.”
One of them replied, “This was Londonburg, about fifteen years ago. Ever since Ava became the Queen the society has almost collapsed. Since I couldn’t find my way to the house I continued to explore the foreign city. I saw a women ahead a me and shouted, “Excuse me, do you know where the nearest hotel is?”
The women replied, “You shall not talk to me like that! I am the queen, treat me with some respect!” I froze in terror, she was so mad she had fire in her eyes. I looked at her at realized that she was my friend growing up.
“Don’t you remember me? Ally Sosko? We were friends about twenty years ago.” She gave rolled her eyes and then stood taller and put her head up.
“You will be put in jail for seven days for not honoring or respecting me,” said Queen Ava. Then I followed one of the guards to my jail cell.
After the seven days were over I realized the city was even more different. There was graffiti everywhere and trash was piled up all over the streets. Building had shattered windows and the air had a putrid smell. In the distance I heard people chanting. I decided to follow the noise. The closer in got to the sound the more graffiti and trash there was.
