Currently, the FAA controls domestic licensing of drone operations and is ultimately responsible for determining where domestic drones can be used.” Chris explained how the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are trying to regulate how drones are to be used around the world. Especially since the invasion of privacy is a big issue that the FAA will need to address. FAA restricts the use of an unmanned aerial vehicle around most airports and military bases. The drones can not be within five miles or above 400 feet around most airports or military bases. The FAA also prohibits people flying the drones near populated areas or over people for safety reasons.
