Looking for Alaska by John Green takes place in a high school setting, which I could easily relate to because it mirrored my life in countless ways. Looking for Alaska’s themes of rebelliousness and being a teenager is relatable to a teen’s life because it is in the typical mindset of a high school teenager. It is realistic that it is easy to relate to in regards to the characters, study groups, get togethers, drinking, partying, relationships, family drama, and school grades.
