CRRP September 11, 2001 is a day that has gone down in American history. Four planes were hijacked to shake America’s power. Two planes crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center complex and a third plane hit the Pentagon. The fourth plane taken that day crashed into a field after the passengers were able to storm the hijackers. Thousands of people lost their lives on the planes, in the towers and at the Pentagon. The attacks were blamed and later confirmed to be carried out by the Islamic terrorist organization, Al Qaeda. The attacks started the United States, “War on Terror,” which still continues today. The investigations of 9/11 have led to many unanswered questions causing many to create their own versions of the official …show more content…

The film contains a collection of alternative claims about what happened on 9/11. The film revolves around the thesis that: 9/11 was an inside job carried out by United States government to instigate war in the Middle East. One claim presented by the film is that the Twin Towers and WTC 7 were destroyed by controlled demolition. The film uses: circular reasoning, repetition, and augment by anomaly, among other rhetorical devices to convince it’s viewers of how the towers fell. During the section about how the Twin Towers and Building 7 collapsed, the film uses circular reasoning quite frequently to make a point. Circular reasoning is when the conspirators assume that: if something is not explained by the official reports or evidence then, their theory is the only logical explanation. Loose Change goes on to making comparisons to show what has happened in the past to burning skyscrapers. The film argues that if WTC Building 7 had collapsed by fire then, “It would be the third steel-framed skyscraper in history to collapse due to damage and fire.”(Loose Change) It mentions three similar skyscrapers that had burned extensively and on several floors, but they did not collapse due to the fires. The WTC itself had seen a few fires in its day but did not collapse then, so why now. By showing examples of similar fires and than contrasting it to what occurred at the World Trade Center, the official
