The book Lord of the Flies by William Golding is about a group of boys who build a civilization on an island. But turns into them being savages. Allegory is a hidden meaning or text representing a trait or event in the real world. The purpose of an allegory is to transcend the context to make it deeper and make it symbolic. The purpose of lord of the flies allegory is to show how the humans acted during the cold war. Humans have a tendency to be savages and having civilized rules to correct and minimize it. The scar represents that man ruin Britt and nature merely by entering it. Piggy 's glasses represent new technology given to men. It helps them by creating a huge wildfire for a signal fire. The island represents beauty and paradise for the boys to civilize on. In chapters 5-8 they worry about the beast as a dead pilot parachuted down dead. They have a feast with the pig. The put the head on a stick and Simon later imagine that he could communicate with the head then he faints. Symbols In these chapters is the pig head and the beast.
