One of the changes was in the characters. Look at Clarisse for example. In the book she was a 16 year old girl who didn’t go to school because people thought that she was “antisocial” and she didn’t fit in. In the movie she is much older she looks to be in her mid 30s and is not a student instead she’s a teacher.
The book Fahrenheit 451 was turned into a movie which included many similarities and differences from the book. The biggest difference was Clarisse in general because she was a teacher instead of a student, she never died when it was said she did, and her overall character was a little off due to these simple changes. There was also no war in the movie, which made it so that there was no bombing at the end so the city wasn’t destroyed. Faber also wasn’t in the movie, although he was a major character in the book because of his influence over Montag. While there were many differences there were also similarities, but they were mostly small details.
Stephen King, a famous writer once said, “Books and movies are like apples and oranges. They are both fruit, but they taste completely different.” Truly, this applies to all movies and books. This quote is effective describing the novel and the movie, A Raisin in the Sun. Although the two share similar scenes and acts, the movie shows a lot more details which make it better.
The To Kill a Mockingbird movie and book, both have different ways to portray important key events from their plot. The movie showed specific details on the settings and also the character attire which really brought the movie together and since in the book we can't really see the story happen its gives us details on all the settings, characters, and the plot. Both show us details but have different ways of showing it. The book and movie had similar ways to show the story and also carrying it out in a manner so that it could be understood . Likewise, knowing whether the book or movie had more differences or similarities depends on how the plot is shown/carried out, the setting and the characters.
Percy Jackson and the lightning thief is about the offspring of poseidon and a mortal, going on a quest with his friends to find Zeus’ missing lightning bolt. The bolt went missing and Percy Jackson is accused of taking it. This is an excellent book that was made into a film. Though the film was good it was very different from the book.

The purpose of creating a movie from a book is mainly to bring the characters to life and make the story more relatable. Fantasies, especially, are unrealistic and hence a movie makes the fantasy come to life. The Princess Bride was originally a book which was then filmed as a movie to recreate the story.

Often in literature, comparing stories will lead to revelations about human nature. Lord of the Flies and The Hunger Games both share a motif of being trapped and take human nature to another level. Lord of the Flies and The Hunger Games prove that working together and looking out for each other will give you a greater shot at victory. One very significant similarity is that in both books the characters are trapped on an island and fighting for their safety and survival. In Lord of the Flies, school boys, Ralph, Roger, Simeon, Piggy, Jack and along with other kids are trapped on an island and have to fight for survival, but, after a while of being on the island the civilization starts to die and so do the boys from violence and lack of communication.

Hercules film/book comparison Edith Hamilton’s Mythology portrays the story of Hercules with a perfect complexity that can be understood by even the simplest of minds. According to the novel, Hercules is a story about an exceedingly strong demi-god who accomplishes a plethora of tasks never completed by man before including, the twelve labors he must forsee to purify his soul after killing his family. The Hollywood version starring Dwayne Johnson takes the basic knowledge from Greek mythology and creates a storyline with a more realistic rendition. In The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien, two different kinds of creatures, dwarves and a hobbit named Bilbo, were given the same journey to go on, but they handled it in diverse ways.
