At the end of the Middle Ages a new time period called The Renaissance began. In the 1300s a new era called the Renaissance began in Italy, and continued through the 1400s and 1500s as it spread through the rest of Europe. Although the fall of Rome occurred in the 5th century, classical culture didn’t cease to exist because of the Roman Catholic Church by copying important documents that were still accessible after the classical period had ended. Merchants & crusaders brought back this information to the Europeans which looked more into classical culture and that led to the rediscovery of Greek & Roman culture. The lords were people who ruled a city state with the support of his family. The lords changed and created new laws, in hopes they could have their family succeed him. The oligarchies were the smallest & unusual political unit; it created a place for checks and balances. The Renaissance evolved art & learning by the fact people can express their feelings and emotions into art. Even today Renaissance art is still influencing today's art. As for the advances in learning, the Renaissance saw the revival of Greek and Roman learning which focused on history, language, and human nature. The church helped with the revival of the classical time with Greece and Rome by translating texts from the files of the classical time period. The church also helped with the learning of these ancient texts and helped people learn & study. I was influenced by Andrea del scientific method to my art and music. I opened the door for artists after my time by showing them that an artist can be more than a painter but can also contribute to not only artistic fields but other fields of study overall “Leonardo's work inspired other great artists, such as Michelangelo.
