Does society care about people who gets discriminated or the fact that there are many people in poverty of money problems? Well that's a question to be answered by our societies , that many people who’d wish to live a life without money problems nor living in poverty, or it could just be the fact that they don’t like being discriminated by other people, they would want that question to be answered the most. That’s what “Raisin in the Sun” is all about, a poor family from Chicago South Side during the late 1950’s and they high hopes of living a more happy life than living a more uncomfortable and depressing life. This happens to many people who have money issues, job loss, or even lack of education. The play shows a family with money problems but wasn’t in poverty, Technically they still had a home but what Lorraine Hansberry, the author of “Raisin in The Sun”, was trying to say and point out was anybody like the Younger family is more likely to fall into poverty because of their living styles. For example, money problems was another big issue for the family and the reason could be because of having jobs that pay less. Most certainly the family could be in poverty (all though that wasn’t the case) because of living with very little money.For the family this challenge was very hard to face and for them to cope up with their living styles in a cramped up apartment. Now discrimination was another issue for the family, when a man named Linder (a representative from the Clybourne Park association) had arrived to the younger family’s apartment. he had brought a lot of disappointment to the family. On page 92 in the book, Linder says “ I say that for all concerned that our negro families are happier when they live in their own community”, Walter, listening to this, tipped him off, so he yelled at Linder to get out of his apartment.
