On 11-14-2015 at about 2106 hours I was dispatched to a domestic violence report at the Emerald Point Condos at 31900 104th AVE SE; H102, Auburn/King/Wa. Enroute dispatch advised the reporting party/victim, Lizbeth Nunez Santana was calling to report that she was assaulted by her husband. The incident occurred about two hours prior and the husband was no longer at the residence. I arrived at the address and contacted Lizbeth and her cousin, Maribel Chavez. Throughout my conversation with Lizbeth it was clear that she was very upset, she had to stop speaking several times as she was crying and upset with the situation.
What situations caused these emotions? She felt bad that her oldest son had to wear the same clothes over and over. Depressed from the meeting she had with the social worker, because it didn’t go the way she intended it to. Worried if she can provide for her family once she stops receiving government assistance. Also hopeful that a new job will be the start for something better for her family.
That changed her mood by making her super frustrated and hopeless. The last change that I wrote down was when Sookan and Inchun get separated from mother. Sookan and Inchun were super sad, so they started balling.
She begins to remember when she used to be happy, and when she used to understand the jokes, the songs,
She dieted and exercised to try and be better and she put a smile on her face to make it all seem okay but, it got tiring and she couldn't do it anymore so she gave up her nose and legs. With that being said it could mean various things so take it as you will.
She has learned to express her emotions, as well as talk about her feelings with others. Physically
Odysseus is the protagonist of the epic poem by Homer, The Odyssey, known as the great epic hero, but how exactly do we know that Odysseus is an epic hero? One reason I believe that Odysseus is indeed an epic hero is that there were gods that were on Odysseus’ side and helping him on his way. Additionally, Odysseus experienced many exceptional adventures and hardship from his journey. Lastly, something epic heroes have that Odysseus shares in common is that he has beneficial characteristics such as confidence, courage, loyalty, and intelligence.
Although one might argue that this feeling was influenced by the bad experiences in her childhood, she repeatedly reinforces
Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there was a princess who was cursed. On her sixteenth birthday, she would prick her finger and fall into a deep sleep, woken only by true love’s kiss. When she was woken, and the kingdom rejoiced. She married the prince, who awoke her, and all was well. Until she met the prince.
The Disconnect of Dialogue and Interiority in Selected Stories in Olive Kitteridge Introduction After reading a short story or novel that leaves me with that intangible effect that I think all writers want their stories to possess, I like to read interviews from the author. For me, reading about the genesis of a story keeps it alive longer. I want to know how the writer arrived at her idea, how many drafts she went through, what the complications were regarding plot, what questions she asked herself and how she came to solve, answer them. Most of the time I want to know how her characters came to be and how they evolved into their fullness. Reading these interviews always leads me to reflect and compare my own process of writing.
She begins to become comfortable to the things that scared her before, such as dogs. She learns that they are not as dangerous as her mom depicted them to be. It contrasts what she could have already learned from when she was younger. The implant was noticeably turned off too late in her development. She shows no remorse when she's lying to her mom about where she's going.
The princess, the protagonist of “The Frog King”, holds a golden ball and drops it into a well in the earlier part of the story, which means that she then loses her innocence , purity, and perfection, because the shape of the ball, a sphere, and the color, gold, are symbols of these features (Bettelheim, p.287). Also, it can be the pleasure principle. As soon as she drops the ball, the frog appears from the well, and she make a promise that she allows him to accompany her, and that represents maternal burdens. She takes her farewell of her virtues and after that greet an ordeal in order to mature as an adult female. After that, she does not readily keep the promise, which means she is now driven by the id, so her father tells her to keep it.
