Louis Vuitton was born in Anchur, France, on August 4, 1821. When he turned 14, the young man whose name was to become, over the years, reference in the world of luxury products has left home. It took Louis two years to travel 292 miles to Paris, because he stopped many times along the way to work and earn money. On the way he had all kinds of odd jobs that helped him to earn money to survive. In the French capital, he began working with Monsieur Marechal in the leather industry, specifically in the manufacture of luggage. He started his own production Vuitton suitcases around 1854.
