With a first place finish on February 20, 2016 at the Louisiana Downs Racetrack in Bossier City, LA Rdd Lajollanfastdash proved to be a beast and earned himself a place to compete against the top ten 2-year-olds at the Louisiana Downs Racetrack on Saturday, March 12 for the winner’s purse of $122,874. Rdd Lajollanfastdash obtained a victory with the fastest time of 15.531 seconds out of the 111 head of state-breds that participated in the Mardi Gras Futurity races. In an early stretch in the 6th race, LQHBA Summer yearling graduate, Rdd Lajollanfastdash took the lead from an inside post in a field of 10 without a challenge before outstretching a lead distance of 3 ¼ lengths rode by jockey Raul Ramirez, Jr. As an experienced jockey, Ramiez’s tremendous athletic ability and intense concentration created a highly competitive approach for the race. The gelding’s explosive speed dominated the track.
