In the infamous prose “Attention Whole Foods Shoppers” Robert Paarlberg, a Harvard international affairs expert divulges on the ongoing warfare with the issue of sustainability. Paarlberg focuses on how the rise in global starvation increases in less developed nations, but it is often ignored by those in developed countries because of their fixation with the green revolution. He asserts many claims as to why Africa and Asia still have high food deprivation rates, which quite contrary to popular belief has nothing to do with overpopulation. This stems from lack of investment into agricultural infrastructure and investments. His criticism of whole foods shoppers seeks to bring awareness to the issue of world hunger and how the quest to eat organically
I am grateful to experience what it is like to have an extraordinary employer. Not many people can say they had the chance to work for someone who is not only a strong leader, but an exceptional mentor. I had the pleasure of working as a Residential Assistance for Mr. Joseph at Florida Memorial University for a year, and I could not have asked for a better experience. His dedication and passion for the students at Florida Memorial University was refreshing and uplifting. In Residential Life, our main focus was the residence’s housing experience; however, Mr. Joseph sincerely cared about each student’s wellbeing and success.

He works very hard to ensure his employees progress. For example, when he was going to be gone from the office for a while he appointed Dwight Schrute as co-manager and also gave Jim Halpert more responsibilities to give them the experience they needed for their professional growth. Michael Scott also sent Jim Halpert to a different Dunder Mifflin branch to learn more about the company and even assisted Ryan Howard in receiving a promotion at the corporate headquarters. Every time he goes out on a sales call or recruiting trip, he takes an employee with him to mentor them. Even though most of his mentorship is professional related there are instances when he mentors someone in their personal life.

Another principle that I try to follow is treating everyone equally. The principle has stemmed from Fyffe by me seeing people from the town be horribly rude to people for things they cannot help. Although the majority of people are not like this, it has shown me how I do not want to be and in this way Fyffe has created this principle for
Whole Foods has developed four core principles which focus on conscious capitalism to drive the success of the enterprise. These principles go much further than the focus of financial profits, they also focus on social and human capital of the workforce. Author Kent Hodgson developed seven key moral principles that expand ethical practices in the business today: dignity of human life, autonomy, honesty, loyalty, fairness, humanness, and the common good (). Each of these seven principles contains descriptive details; however, in comparison with the Whole Foods concept, I feel that the common good principle of the seven principles is similar in a way that aligns the human factor of a successful business.

However, people’s action to sue fast food companies seems hardly sensible, because their foods are not poisoned, spoilt, or molded. Although their foods are far from healthy and their advertising tactics are extremely cunning, fast food restaurants are not the only one to blame for today’s rocketing rates of obesity-related health problems. It is largely known that fast foods are junks for the body, yet people still buy them wanting a quick fix for their rumbling stomach. People can always avoid fast foods and make healthier options if they want to, and suing the fast food restaurants will not make them lose any weight or fat they have in their body.
