Loyalty In S. E. Hinton's The Outsiders

Loyalty is something different in “The Outsiders”, it's special. In S.E. Hinton's “The Outsiders”, the greasers show unusual & different ways of loyalty. Loyalty is defending one another from any problem. You have to defend one another if you're a greaser. “I killed him” (pg.56), Johnny said to Ponyboy. Johnny killed Bob to save ponyboy from drowning. Second, Ponyboy defended Dally when Cherry said: “What's a nice, smart kid like you running around with trash like that for?” (pg.23). Third, Ponyboy said, “When you're in a gang, you stick up for the other members. If you don't stick for them, stick together, make like brothers, it isn't a gang anymore.” (pg.23). That shows that greasers defend one another, to show loyalty. Greaser's show
