Contrary to popular belief, the Devil is not a little red guy with horns and a pitchfork. The Bible says that the Devil was an angel that fell from heaven because of sin. He is now completely against anything related to God. Isaiah 14:12 states: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lu’-ci-fer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nation!” This implies that before falling from heaven, the Devil was known as Lucifer. Lucifer became prideful in his appearance and rank having decided that he wanted to be above God. This inevitably led to him being kicked out of heaven.
