Have you ever heard of the story of Lukas Beyls, from the 10th grade of Mrs. Torp’s class? You've all heard the stories, correct? He was the captain of the football team, homecoming king for 3 years, loved by everyone and everything, never been in trouble his entire life. But the story goes that he always carried around this special wooden cane. Now this cane is a very old and ancient cane that will give anyone who has possession of it the ability to time travel. Long ago, there was a land far into the deep dark forest where no one steps foot. An elderly enchantress by the name of Emma Dewitte, who resides in this deep dark forest, cast a spell onto the cane. Unfortunately, unknown to Emma, the cane also came with a death-threatening curse …show more content…

Even though they grew out of their affair, Lukas’s dad never forgot Emma and retained possession of the cane and was a time traveler. Sadly, his dad died from the cane. But before he did, Emma gave the cane to his son, Lukas. Emma made that cane as a gift to Lukas as a baby but she didn’t know about the life-shortening side effect until Lukas was 16. He never lets go of it because his mother’s last words were to never lose that cane. Because of this defect, the enchantress has made it her life goal to destroy it out of existence. However, if she destroys the cane Lukas dies along with it. Sadly, rumors have it that one day during a cool autumn afternoon just after his world geography class, Lukas slipped and fell….and died dropping that wooden cane along with his life away with it. Or so everybody thought. Rumors around the school and Mrs. Torp’s class say that Lukas Beyls can be seen in the back of his class like everybody else… just like he’s not dead. But is he really? I’ll tell you but you have to not freak out.” I nodded and she told me everything about me and my parents and about the cane. Of course, I freaked out, but she calmed me down. When she did I always stared into her deep dark red eyes that had a glare or shine of light to them. They looked so beautiful and it contrasts with her snow white hair. Her name is Emma Dewitte. Such a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. Wait. Am I falling in love with this girl? But I can’t. Can I? Well, time to find out.
“Well it was nice talking to you and all, but I have things to do Lukas.” She stood up but before she did I spoke.
“Wait!” She turned around looking right at me.
“Yes? What is it?”
I took a deep breath and stood up and lifted her chin up getting closer to her and her lips met with mine causing her to stare in shock. A second later, Emma pushed away and stared at me. That moment I dropped my cane and it hit the ground.
“What the heck was that for? You can’t just kiss random girls like that you idiot! You know what? This is what you get!”
Since I let my guard down, she picked up my cane feeling a surge of power and energy go through her as she closed her eyes tightly. My eyes widened trying to grab it but fail as she teleports away with my cane and my mother’s last words going down in flames as I let her down about the cane. -Emma’s Point of
