Who would have thought a black man in a hoodie would be a superhero? Marvel’s first black superhero show Luke Cage, a man with super strength and unbreakable skin. This television show was will needed and couldn’t have come at a better time. sociological imagination is strongly represented all though the series. A professor of sociology C. This is a powerful scene. throughout history black men were treated poorly. they were treated not to value themselves. the young man doesn't seem to appreciate the older generation. He didn't understand the history of harlem. During the Harlem Renanasican there was great cultural, social, and artistic explosion that took place in Harlem between the end of World War I and the middle of the 1930s. Harlem was a cultural center, drawing black writers, artists, musicians, photographers, poets, and scholars. Many had come from the South, fleeing its oppressive caste system in order to find a place where they could freely express their talents. Harlem was full of culture and art until crack was brought in. It ruined the great city. The city became full of crime and cheap crack became a major issue in Harlem. the city became so poor.Poverty is said to exist when people lack the means to satisfy their basic needs.
