The story of Romeo and Juliet was a tragedy induced by two bickering families, the Capulets and the Montagues. The play Romeo and Juliet outlines an aggressive and awkward relationship of two juvenile and naive teenagers. Romeo and Juliet have a relationship of love and lust, mostly lust. It is a “love at first sight” type of relationship. Their relationship is mostly composed of lust because they hardly know each other and love does not happen like that. Love is a natural emotion and love will happen at the right time, but it just takes patience. They both do not know the significance of love by seeing each other at the Capulet’s party. Throughout the entire story of Romeo and Juliet the Nurse and Friar Laurence supported most of Romeo and Juliet’s ideas, actions, and thoughts. They tried their best to support and help the teenagers if they needed help. The first people Romeo and Juliet would turn to if they were in a predicament and needed help is Friar Laurence or the Nurse. They were always there for them and predominantly never turned them down. The Nurse was a source of comedic relief. Juliet could trust her with everything. She knew most of Juliet’s biggest secrets she has never told before. She is very protective towards Juliet. She influences on many of Juliet’s ideas and thoughts. Juliet replaces the Nurse’s departed daughter Susan to keep her loved. The Nurse was not only like a mother to her, but also an educator. She educated Juliet with everything going on with any of her situations from the start to the end. She supported Juliet when she was going to marry Romeo. She even secretly met up with Romeo to arrange the marriage. It is dangerous meeting up with Romeo because he is a Montague and the Nurse has been with the Capulets for many years. The Nurse is looking out for Juliet to make sure she is not going to get hurt, because the Nurse thinks Juliet is still gentle and young. When Romeo is exiled from Verona the Nurse agrees that Juliet should marry Paris. Juliet now crying for Romeo, the Nurse thinks it is foolish and she should not be crying. When Juliet needs her most, after her parents order her to marry Paris, the Nurse betrays her. The Nurse is basically saying that Romeo is good for nothing, just forget about him and marry Paris.
