His students were very poor and sometimes came to school starving. These students were so confused and could not figure out why no one liked them. The rights guaranteed by the Civil Rights act: the right to use public facilities, equal employment opportunities would help these students overcome these difficulties. Principle, because Johnson was trying to do what he thought was right for the students. As stated in document C, the electoral vote decided the final outcome of Kennedy becoming president, without the South he would not have won. . The states would go to Nixon and Kennedy would have lost, and Johnson would not have been elected President. Based on the most recent electoral votes, if Johnson is going to keep pushing South it would cost him the whole election.
