Lyr Relationship Between The Gyptians And The Golden Compass

Believe it or not, Lyra has a very important relationship with the Gyptians and the Golden Compass. That relationship is similar and different with the Jordan College students and the Gyptians like John Faa. It depends on the situation when both groups are similar and different in terms of Lyra’s relationship. Lyra spends a different amount of time with both groups for a few reasons. The Jordan college people, especially the scholars, doesn’t spend adequate time with Lyra unlike the Gyptians do. The Gyptians are always doing something with Lyra and giving jobs often. The scholars are very busy with their academic work. The Master spends the most time with Lyra because he is always available. As a result, the whole group overall can’t have …show more content…

The Jordan College scholars, the Master, the servants, and the gyptians all care for Lyra to some degree. They all want to keep her safe and keep her in a good environment. Along with this similarity, there are a few differences. The Jordan college people gives Lyra a lot of freedom unlike the Gyptians do. When Lyra was living in Jordan college, she was always fooling around with Roger and being naughty. Some examples of her hazardous behavior is playing war-like games with the other kids. Lyra was also being on the roof and exploring. The Master likes to do what is best for Lyra and same for the Gyptians. The Gyptians made her to do all sorts of jobs like cleaning The Gyptians also made sure Lyra did the job.. Lyra starts to like the Jordan college scholars and the gyptians as both groups are nice to Lyra and treat each other nicely. Lyra knows that both groups of people care about her. The Jordan college and the Gyptians have different methods of interacting with Lyra. The Gyptians do a lot more and interact more than the Jordan college people do with Lyra. The scholars and other people in Jordan college don’t really care much about what Lyra wants and leave her alone. The Gyptians will always have the enthusiasm to listen to Lyra if she wants/needs anything. The Gyptians also tell more secrets than the Jordan people as they are more confident. On the other hand, The Jordan college people don’t spend a lot of time and don’t tell a lot of secrets. It is almost like they are leaving Lyra alone which results in getting so much freedom doing whatever she wants.Lyra knows that the scholars sometimes interact with Lyra. She also knows that the Gyptians treat her nicely and interact with her much more. The gyptians make Lyra busy with the jobs and work. The Gyptians have more interest and enthusiasm towards Lyra and staying with
