M.A.C Three critical challenges M.A.C faces today are: Providing foundation and colors that match with all shades and skin tones. Competition; there are so many new companies emerging, which is great for the customers because it gives them options. This very competitive competition is bad for many companies, because now they are under so much pressure to create new products/formulas/ collections just to keep their customers, and gain new ones. Makeup Artist and photographer Frank Toskan and Salon owner Frank Angelo created M.A.C in their kitchen. They shared the concern for the lack of makeup that photographed well. M.A.C was launched in March of 1984. One of the most popular products by M.A.C is their Matte red lipstick, (Woo); which first appeared in s photoshoot of Madonna. Madonna was also seen wearing one of the first M.A.C T-shirts. The company took the industry by storm offering a wide range of products, which combines street savvy with glamorous style. M.A.C continues to set the tone and take different approaches to gain popularity and customers. They have never really relied on the traditional marketing techniques, rather the integrity of their carefully formulated product line. The company has a great respect for individuality, diversity, and self-expression; which makes their style outrageous. Their sense of frag and theatre promotes their tagline “all ages, all races, and all sexes” In 1994 as HIV/AIDS became an epidemic in or communities, M.A.C organized a charitable event, their VIVA GLAM campaign which has raised over $380 million for the fight against HIV/AIDS. The VIVA GLAM team has created new categories, products, and over 50 collections every year. Celebrities like Rihanna, Lorde, and others are featured in these products. Other huge celebrities like Vivienne Westwood and Prabal Gurung are a few other celebrities that gives M.A.C the confidence to stand out amongst the
