Act 1-

King Duncan finds out that Malcolm got out of captivity and Macbeth and Macduff fought with great courage. Duncan decrees that Macbeth becomes Thane of Cawdor after last thane was traitor Ross leaves to tell Macbeth. Three witches appear and Macduff asks if they are “from this earth.” The Witches recognize him as thane of Glamis and thane of Cawdor. The Witches tell Macduff that he will never sit upon throne but his children will. This terrifies Macbeth.
Back the current King’s palace (King Duncan) the King thanks Macbeth and Macduff for heroism on the battlefield. Duncan then announces that Malcolm (his son) will be taking the throne. This makes Macbeth realize that Malcom now stands between him and the throne.
Soon after, Lady Macbeth receives a letter from Macbeth. The …show more content…

Macbeth thinks that Malcolm and Donalbain are plotting against him to have him killed, and grows more and more paranoid. Macbeth then hires assassins to kill Banquo and Fleance. Lady Macbeth starts to feel guilty Macbeths mind is "full of scorpions" (meaning his paranoia, she feels responsible). Macbeth ominously reveals to lady Macbeth that he plans to have Banquo killed. The assassins attack Banquo and Fleance.
They manage to kill Banquo but Fleance escapes. At the feast that night Macbeths growing madness begins to show. He claims to see the ghost of Banquo in the room. Lady Macbeth makes excuses for her husband saying that he is tired, but the guests see that he is going insane.
After the dinner Macbeth says he will go see the witches again. Hecate is angry with the three witches and tells them to continue their work, but that she is in charge from now on. Banquos murder is put on Fleance. Macduff asks England for support in killing Macbeth.

Act 4-

Banquos ghost appears to again to Macbeth which causes Macbeth to have assassins kill Macduffs family. At Macduffs castle, assassins arrive and kill Macduff’s family and
