Macbeth commits murder for the love of his life and manipulates the people revolving around the murder of King Duncan. “I'll go no more: I am afraid to think about what I have done; Look don't again I dare not.”( 1.2). Macbeth is the titular character and tragic hero of William Shakespeare's play "Macbeth." He is a Scottish nobleman and a loyal general to King Duncan, but he becomes consumed by ambition and a desire for power. He is persuaded by his wife, Lady Macbeth, to murder Duncan and seize the throne for himself. Macbeth attempts to control the future and bury the past through various means, including the murder of Duncan, manipulating others, and avoiding confrontation with his guilt.

For example, when he meets the witches, he flatters them by calling them "imperfect speakers" and asks them to tell him more about his future. Additionally, Macbeth is a master of deception. He lies to others to achieve his goals, such as when he tells Banquo that he hasn't thought about the witches' prophecy, even though he is already planning to murder King Duncan. Macbeth uses intimidation to make others do what he wants. For example, he threatens the murderers he hires to kill Banquo by saying that if they fail, he will make sure they pay for it. Overall, Macbeth is a skilled manipulator who uses a combination of flattery, deception, intimidation, guilt, and loyalty to ensure his own success. Some may argue that Macbeth was simply being strategic in his actions. Macbeth's manipulation is often morally reprehensible and results in the suffering of innocent people. Therefore, people may not find the argument valid.
