Dear Diary, I have just received a letter from Macbeth, which for once is not filled with goring details about the battlefield. Instead, informing me about his encounter with three witches whom gave him two prophesies; one being that he would become Thane of Cawdor, and the second being; he would become King. Mere moments later, a messenger from King Duncan had arrived, announcing Macbeth as Thane of Cawdor, I could feel the excitement in his vocabulary… I however, feel this not to be enough for everything Macbeth has accomplished for his beloved country. I expected it to run smoothly. The exact opposite happened. It all started when we were at the banquet and Macbeth went out into the courtyard. He told me he couldn’t go through with it and that “we will precede no further in our business”. Yet again I had to convince him to change his mind. I even went to calling him a coward because every single day he kills people still he felt wrong doing this deed. I told him that I would “snatch the nipple” from the “boneless gums” of a baby and bash its head in. This had the perfect effect on him knowing that a baby is the one thing he has failed to give me. My plan was to get Duncan’s chamberlains drunk to the point that they would unconscious. I would then use their two daggers to kill Duncan and put them back in their hand afterwards when they are tarnished with blood. This was so that everyone would think they were the ones who had killed. Macbeth was finally convinced. When night had fallen and everyone with it, Macbeth and I were preparing ourselves, he quite confidant at this point but me a bit anxious.
