Through the comparison and contrast of characters, key plot events, and resolutions in literature the audience/reader is capable of better understanding the work. The play written by William Shakespeare, Macbeth, represents how the corruption of power and greed can turn someone evil. This can be compared to the film, The Tragedy of Macbeth, produced by Joel Coen, Frances McDormand and Robert Graf which has the same theme. The film and play can be compared to one another in many aspects, as well as, differ from each other to either create intensity or leave out unimportant details.
The Tragedy of Macbeth is a well known story that revolves around the word “ambition” but this ambition isn’t always self driven by someone, but rather through the influence of someone else who maintains control of the situation. The story is about a man whose desire to be the king and have power leads to the murders of those who might stand in his way. Throughout the story we see many characters who play major parts in how one event follows another, and how some characters seem to completely have control of the events in the story. Although in Macbeth the Three Sisters and Macbeth exhibit some control over the events, Lady Macbeth has the most responsibility.

Claiming that life is short and easily extinguished from his reaction towards Lady Macbeth’s apparent suicide. Shakespeare applies rhetorical elements to emphasize Macbeth’s responsiveness to the concept of life and death. Initially, Shakespeare commences with repetition of the word “tomorrow” thrice to accentuate the hopeless future Macbeth perceives.

The scene Act 3 scene 2, conveys the theme that killing someone isn't the most proficient way in dealing with problems nor does it make life simpler, instead it creates more complications. Ironically, In this scene Lady Macbeth and Macbeth discuss the death of Banquo; both of them begin to show signs of fear & guilt. Both of them realize the troubles that come with killing Banquo, and recognize that troubles follow; his son Fleance can still cease the prophecy. This is demonstrated in the metaphorical quote “We have scorched the snake, not killed it.” Macbeth refers to Banquo as a snake, who has not yet been killed and is still able to “attack” them.
The most important thing to consider when planning to direct a film or play based on Macbeth is how to get the audience to feel like the key characters in the narrative are true living, breathing people. For this reason, the adaption must be in a film, the more dynamic and controlled medium, and needs to include actors who look the part as well as have vast experience in that specific type of role. The medium of film is a much better option for Macbeth because of how much more control it gives directors. Filmmakers have the power to show their audience exactly what they want to see and how they see it.
The Tyrant beheaded in Battle Macbeth, the late King of Scotland, has been killed in battle by Malcom, the son of King Duncan of Scotland, after the invasion of England army that took over the Castle of Dunsinane. The castle was found abandoned by its citizen and royal guards and soldiers after witnessing the approaching army of England, leaving only one person behind. This projects the loyality and gives us hints to what Thane of Glamis was worth of. The former tyrant of Scotland whose name only brings death to mind.

In the play Macbeth by Shakespeare it has positive and negative outcomes, when it comes to how Macbeth proceeds his life in such negative term transforming him into this man he wasn’t before. William Shakespeare’s play Macbeth, the main character; Macbeth, is seen as an evil character. The play is based off of Macbeth’s decisions and his actions to become King. In the beginning Macbeth starts out as a hero in Scotland’s war with Ireland and towards the end he is transformed into a murderer. Macbeth is not wholly evil because of is heroism in the war, his love for Scotland, and because he didn’t want to kill King Duncan initially. Macbeth was brain washed by his wife and tricked into killing the King.
