Unfortunately, prophecies lead to an unimaginable consequences. Speaking not far away, we can take an example from the story of Macbeth that we have learned recently. In the beginning, Macbeth was a brave soldier and also helped Duncan to win the battle. Macbeth never had a thought about being a King of Scotland before. Even when three witches told Macbeth would become a king, he was laughing and thought it was a joke. However, when the first prophecy of three witches came true that Macbeth became “Thane of Cawdor”, he realized that he could become the next King. He had thought and desire of greed that he would kill Duncan and seize throne. Lady Macbeth encouraged him to kill Duncan. At first, Macbeth was coward. He fought a lot of ideas that he chose to kill the King or not. Opening the story, he was built in the strong character with all his loyalty to the King. Later on, he was looking no more strong, even Lady Macbeth could not reassure him. He was more paranoid about the murder that he had killed the King and his good friend-Banquo too. In summary, he killed the King to get the kingship and every innocent people who were beside him to protect his crown. He went crazy and even Lady Macbeth was scared of what he intended to do next. Finally, Macbeth was killed by Macduff’s sword. He must pay back for his murderous actions. Because of the insatiable greed for throne that blinded his eyes and mind, so he was died like the way which he had done before. As we have said, and the Lord had prompted, divination does not help our lives brighter, it also brings things that are unpredictable. It does not completely define as totally bad. But if we choose to follow, it always has good and bad sides.
