When ambition is overlooked, it has the ability to become extremely dangerous. Macbeth from Shakespeare is a clear example of this. As he rises to power, he becomes more and more of a threat to those around him, killing those he was once loyal to. Destruction when ambition goes unchecked is present throughout the play because of Macbeth’s strong desires that ultimately lead to the deaths of Duncan, Banquo, and nearly Macduff. The death of Duncan was the first corrupt act stemming from Macbeth’s ambition.
Well what I had chose was that in act 2 there had been a scene where Macbeth had just killed King Duncan and he was heading back to lady Macbeth covered in blood. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth had a conversation about the event that just took place and had suggested that the fact was that he couldn't return the weapon it was covered in blood and he was feeling guilty about killing King Duncan. Macbeth had started imagining of hearing noises but when he had first came in he was imagining people in the castle that could be witnesses to killing King Duncan. And he had sworn that when he was killing King Duncan he had thought that someone had said “Sleep no more... Macbeth has murdered sleep”.
Macbeth is a play written by Shakespeare in 1606. Macbeth is essentially a story of a warrior who gets consumed by his own greed and ambition. Betrayal is a prevalent theme throughout the play that shifts power between the characters. In the beginning, the Thane of Cawdor betrayed the country and the king. When King Duncan heard the news he removed him from his position, “ No more that thane of Cawdor shall deceive Our bosom interest: go pronounce his present death, And with his former title greet Macbeth” (Shakespeare 1:2:63-66).
With help from his wife, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth plan a murder and with a little hoaxing from his wife, Macbeth pulls it off. The King plans to dine at the Macbeths’ mansion and plans to stay the night. Duncan feels safe going to stay in the castle of someone who protected him just hours before, but he does not know their fatal plan. The plan involves getting the guards of the king’s room drunk and planting the bloody murder weapon next to them. This will make it look like Macbeth has nothing to do with the treasonous act of killing the ruler.
The Thane of King Duncan, Macbeth hears a prophecy that he himself will become king later on in the future after King Duncan. This then leads to Macbeth being overcome by greed. Since Macbeth greeds to be king so bad, he murders King Duncan and takes his place of the throne. Macbeth starts to live with so much guilt and fear that he commits even more murders to have his power safe. Macbeth is so confident in the prophecies that his life comes to a downfall and he gets killed by the people he did wrong.
Macbeth committed murder to King Duncan for his love of his wife. Lady Macbeth wanted her husband Macbeth to commit murder for her own evil ambitions. She wanted her husband, Macbeth to kill Duncan so Macbeth will become king of Scotland and she will become queen (Act 1, Scene 6, Lines 16-31) She manipulates her husband into killing King Duncan by calling her husband a coward .(Act 1,Scene 5, Lines 44-50)
He doesn’t feel guilty about killing people who trust him anymore. This is not at all like how he felt in the beginning of the play, in act one when he is considering Duncans murder he hesitates and says to himself "But here, upon this bank and shoal of time, We’d jump the life to come. But in these cases We still have judgment here, that we but teach Bloody instructions, which, being taught, return To plague th' inventor: this even-handed justice Commends
Macbeth was a good and loyal warrior for king Duncan but after he heard the witches predictions, it changed the person inside him. This play is from one of the best writer of all time William Shakespeare. The play is “The Tragedy of Macbeth". It's a summary about how Macbeth became king in the eleventh century and after he took the throne.
Macbeth shows that he is willing to kill King Duncan because he is interested in the witches prophecy, after they tell him that he will become ‘Thane of Cawdor’ and then the King.
In the tragedy of Macbeth, there is much deception, murder, and sadness. It is very interesting how the story plays out with the many crimes Macbeth and his wife commit. They do get what they deserve, but not by the hand of a judge or a courtroom, and certainly not at the pace that they should have received their punishment. The Most to Blame for King Duncan’s Death In William Shakespeare’s play Macbeth it talks about a hero coming back from a viscous battle, from a group of rebels trying to take over the castle that the king’s lives in. After the hero comes back from a bloody battle he encounters three witches that tell him that he will have three titles one in the past thane of Glamis, one in the present thane of Cawdor, and one in the future king. After the witches tell Macbeth about the prophecy he gets the idea of wanting to be the new king and feels that Duncan should isn’t fit to be the king. After Macbeth and Lady Macbeth have a brief argument on wither Macbeth should kill Duncan.
In the play of Macbeth, there are some characters that could be responsible for Duncan’s death. I personally think Lady Macbeth is the cause of Duncan's murder. She is the most ambitious to kill the king in the beginning of the play, pressuring Macbeth. Lady Macbeth was persuasive of driving Macbeth to commit the murder. She manipulates him to go through with the murder even though he was very doubtful about it.
Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, is a dark play full of witchcraft and foreshadowing. Lady Macbeth showed scheming qualities throughout the play which had a lot of influence on her husband, Macbeth. Because of her controlling personality, Macbeth was scared to disappoint her. She was the one who positioned the idea of Duncan’s murder into her husband’s mind where he was succumbed by her supremacies and made the ultimate mistake. It was also her idea to place the blame of Duncan’s death on the soldiers.
While they were asleep, on duty, two of King Duncan's very own servants allegedly stabbed Duncan multiple times with daggers as he slept. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth accompanied by Lennox the nobleman of Scotland and Macduff the Thane of Fife discovered the lifeless body of King Duncan the morning after. They also found King Duncan's servants asleep right outside his chamber grasping bloody daggers with royal blood streaked on their faces and clothing. When we questioned Macbeth about stumbling upon the assassinated king and his murderers he made a shocking revelation to us; “O, yet I do repent me of my fury That I did kill them (the King’s servants)”. When we asked Macbeth why he acted out so irrationally he attempted to justify his actions by stating “There the murderers, Steep’d in the colours of their trade; their daggers Unmannerly breech’d with gore.
Macbeth, Crime and Punishment Macbeth, a warrior, earns the title of Thane of Cawdor early in the play. His wife, Lady Macbeth, wants him to become king like the witches prophesied. They make a plan to kill Duncan while Macbeth starts to kill other people. All this murder begins to weigh heavily on the Macbeth’s and they start going crazy with guilt.
