In the play Macbeth written by William Shakespeare, a tragic hero faces a tragic downfall when he meets 3 witches who gives him prosperous prophecies and his greed and want for more morally corrupts him. This causes him to go on murderous sprees to achieve want he wants and believe he is untouchable. Macbeth disagrees with Cato's choice to kill himself and be a coward and this shows that he will fight to the end. This shows his stubborn and egotistical personality because if he had surrendered things may have gone a little smoother for him but instead he chose to put the blame on others and say they deserve to be killed. He never took any credibility for his actions by even admitting that he was wrong. Which shows that he is a coward and is like Cato in some aspects because he cant even admit his wrongs. Cato also tried to de-influence Ceaser and block his attempts to be in ruling by saying that his success on the battlefields should not be used as a stepping stone for power.
