The renowned play Macbeth falls into one of the masterpieces by revered Shakespeare. Simply by looking at Act I, we can see that the main character, Macbeth, has three main distinct traits developed from the plot, which help to bring out the central theme of this tragedy. His loyalty, pliablity and ambition transform his personality as the story progresses. Firstly, as both the kinsman and subject of King Duncan, Macbeth is loyal to the army and fights valiantly in the battlefield.
