I consider Madison BBA program as a perfect choice for me for three reasons. Firstly, students can have close relationship with professors and classmates to pursue academic subjects and cooperate on elective club activities/projects even outside of traditional classes. Four years in college, I can enhance my skills in critical thinking, problem solving, innovative ideas, and communication strategies. Secondly, as a Badger in Wisconsin, I can also enjoy this friendly and spiritual community with a strong and powerful alumni connection for my future careers. There is no ending for a Badger. After carefully researching academic offerings, I hope to declare two concentrations: International Business and Finance, Investment and Banking. My enthusiasm for business major starts at the age of nine, when the Olympic Games were held in China. I sold small red national flags the day of the opening ceremony. When my parents assigned this task to me, I bought hundreds of flags from a wholesaler and sold them individually on the street. I ended up making a profit of over $50. This successful venture, however small it was, gave me much confidence, and ever since I have dreamt of starting a company of my own. With influences from my parents who are both business leaders, I am constantly learning from their phone calls, conversations, activities and business decisions. In the year of 2017, I have had first-handed experiences running a business, which gave me more clarity and determination to continue in this path of being a well-trained and courageous entrepreneur.
