This report will obtain external factors that can impact the success of a business, specifically focusing on Maggie Beer. Major external factors that have impacted the business are technological improvements, trends and Government input. An interview was conducted with the General Manager of Maggie Beer, Kurtys Raymond to address the improvements that can be made. In the past 50 years, technology has evolved immensely. The world has gone from large computers to handheld devices. Technology has played a great role in businesses by allowing them to connect to the consumers utilizing social media. Social media is websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking. It was stated on ‘Kochies business builders’ that social media provides vast opportunities for businesses and allows consumers to browse, make purchase and gain research in the palm of their hand. 2/3 Australians use their mobile phone to make purchases and 33% look at customer reviews before purchasing a product.
