I support euthanasia, but only in certain cases. Yes, euthanasia should be legal, yet, once again, only, in certain situations. In Maggies case, yes it should be allowed. If you are terminally ill and there is nothing else the doctors can do, then why suffer anymore. Brittany Maynard decided to slip into an irreversible sleep after she found out she had 6 months to live. No one should stand in a person’s way of making that decision, if they are emotionally and mentally unstable there may still be help out there for them. This also draws up the point of if you are alone with no one there for you anymore what then? There are many cases in everyday life where someone tries to leech off of another. When Maggie’s family was trying to take advantage of her new found health, that upset me. All she had been trying to do was make a name for herself and help out her mom and family. No, he didn 't make a mistake in giving her that chance. Even though she lost her life in the end, I think that she gained everything she ever wanted for herself. She wanted to change how she appeared to everyone, a piece of white trash with a bad mom who never supported her. She just wanted praise from her mom, but no matter what she did it did not matter her mom still found something to complain about. In our society, winning sports is very important…. to some people. Sure, the champ who beat Maggie in the end may have won. Yet when you think about it, what did she lose as a result? I feel that she lost a part of herself, knowing that she killed someone.
