A major essay I had in my senior year was the college essay. During that time, I was using the common application and for the writing portion it gave a list of topics. The topic I choose was learning from your mistakes and how it is preparing you for success. After choose my topic I was aware who my audience was, the college admissions officers.
Then, I started free writing, I wrote down every idea and then a draft. I used my free writing paper for help except this time I was more focused on grabbing the attention of my audience in the introduction. I also began forming body paragraphs and a conclusion.
