JAPANESE VS AMERICAN MAKEUP
Makeup has been a huge topic for the past decades, there are a lot of different trends around the world. Both Japan and America are known for makeup, it has been an uprising for both countries. Although both countries are big on makeup their trends are fairly different and that's what i am going to talk about it this essay.
In japan girls have that snowy white skin, that's because asia is known for their great skin products. For makeup japanese girls go for the natural or the “ no makeup” look, they often wear contact lense to make their eyes look bigger naturally. A common japanese makeup look would start with the use of BB cream to achieve the dewy glowy look. American girls like to focus more on the eyeshadow and eyebrows, for the skin most americans would want to sun kissed tan look. Americans start off with foundations to get a even and matte complexion. Since americans like to focus more on eyes they base the eyeshadow color on the seasons of the year. For example spring and summer they would go for bright and fun colors and for fall and winter they would go for the dark and vampy look. After applying the eyeshadow next for be the eyeliner usually the color would be black but some people like to wear different color eyeliner. In japan the most common thing for eyeliner is the “ soft look” but americans like to make it dramatic by doing a winged liner and using fake lashes for that bold look. Bronzing and highlighting is a major trend in america again these products would give the sunkissed look. As for the lips some follow the seasonal lip colors or they also like to keep it simple and chic with a nude lipstick most common americans go for the matt finished
