An African- American civil rights leader, Malcolm X was a speaker for the Black Nationalism (Black Muslim). Malcolm X believed in separate nation for blacks.
Malcolm X was born Malcolm Little on May 19, 1925 in Omaha Nebraska. At the age of six his father died. Malcolm family 's believed that white people murdered him.
The family lived in many places. They lived East Lansing, Michigan then moved in with a foster family. At the age of 15 he dropped and out of school moved to Boston.
Malcolm X went to jail for stealing. While in jail, he learned about the Nation of Islam. He joined Nation of Islam and changed his name to Malcolm X. The X represented his real African name.
