In my eyes a leader has to be someone that you can look up to and know that they help the world. I chose Jackie Robinson to be my leader because he changed something that I love with a passion. Baseball would not be where baseball it is, without the guts and the courage this one individual had, because he loved the sport that much. Jackie Robinson was a better man, than he was a baseball player. Jackie displayed courage and pride.
Later on, he would be the right-hand man for the following presidents: Abraham Lincoln, John C. Fremont, and Ulysses S. Grant. Some people would agree that Frederick Douglass was not the greatest leader due to the fact that he focused his attention on a specific goal; however, Douglass was the greatest leader of all time because he was a courageous abolitionist, he advised individuals when it came to education and politics, and he fought for women's’
Malcolm x born in Omaha, Nebraska, on May 19, 1925. He was one of 9 siblings (3 half and 6 full siblings). While growing up he did things children did, as a toddler wasn’t too bad. Things didn’t start going downhill until Malcolm's dad was killed by a KKK member. Him and his other siblings adjusted easily but their mom didn’t.
Malcolm x was born on May 19,1925 in Omaha,Nebraska Malcolm was the fourth of eight children his mother was a homemaker while his dad was a supporter of black nationalist leader Marcus Garvey. His family was subjected to harassment from white supremacist like the klu klux klan causing them to move to Milwaukee,Wisconsin in 1926 and then to Lansing,Michigan in 1928 but later town people got together and burn down their house down. Two years later his father was found dead In 1939 his english teacher asked him what do he want to be when he grow up he told her a lawyer.
Being a great leader is definitely an accomplishment that most people would like to obtain, but very few people reach that goal. Of the most well-known people in history, the most noted is that of our First President, George Washington. Washington’s leadership is best described as being composed of integrity, determination, resourcefulness, flexibility and creativity . His performance in three significant roles during the foundation of the United States that forms the basis of Washington’s greatness to this nation. First his position as Commander in Chief of the Continental Army, second as President of the Continental Convention and lastly as President of the United States.
America has had many strong leaders over the years, and a few not so much. Three great leaders that stand out from the rest are Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson. The strongest president out of the three was Abraham Lincoln. To start off, Lincoln made the equality we have today possible. If not for him, the nation would still be torn in half, possibly even today.
Due to Malcolm X’s struggles in his early life, he dealt with an internal anger and resentment towards the white race, which lead to him rebelling and acting out. When Malcolm X was only 6 years old, criminals murdered his father and sparked an internal flame of hatred. His anger convinced him to commit various crimes such as stealing. This acted as a way to rebel against his family and the white community; he would not accept going unnoticed, nor would he accept others as they treated him as inferior. Not only did young Malcolm steal, but he also fought frequently with his family members.

Alexander Hamilton did just that. Though it can be hard to define what makes a great leader, by looking through history we can formulate an idea. We consider Alexander Hamilton an inspiring leader as he was one of the important pioneers in forming the American government. Also, after the Revolutionary War, he co-wrote the famous 'Federalist' Papers with John Jay and James Madison, which served as a primary source for Constitutional interpretation. Hamilton was a man of great intelligence and zeal, qualities which helped him become the legendary leader
Though he is still seen as a controversial figure, I believe that Malcolm X was one of the most compassionate figures in history. He once said, “I believe in human beings, and that all human beings should be respected as such, regardless of their color.” I really admire how he fought for what he believed in. Initially, I learned about Malcolm X in my AP English Language class, but I was reintroduced to his influence on the modern day black society in my college history class. Prior to being reintroduced to his philosophy in my college history class, I thought that X was a violent, racist man.
The leader I chose was Martin Luther King. He fought for equal rights. The I have a dream Speech reaffirmed the commitment to non-violent resistance, standing one’s ground for one’s God-given rights, the basis for human dignity and strength for all, regardless of race, religion, or color. Martin Luther King displays charismatic leadership. Charismatic leadership has generally been defined in terms of the effects the leader has on followers, or in terms of the relationship between leaders and followers.

At first, he studied in prison under the teaching of Mr. Elijah Muhammad, and he wrote letters to people, whom he knows in the outside world. After these letters were sent, he found out that it was difficult for him to express his feelings because of the lack of vocabulary.
Introduction: Malcom X urges the Negro community to fight to gain the equal rights they deserve by taking action against their white oppressors. He emphasizes that blacks will gain their rights either thorough voting, with the ballot, or else through the inevitable violence with the bullet. By looking at the past, it is proven that some leadership styles are guaranteed to be more effective than others. The leadership style of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X during the Civil Rights provides significant evidence of how different styles of leading can turn out to be a major success or defeat. Malcolm X’s leadership style included using violence to protest against violence and unequal rights, as well as supporting the segregation of African Americans and the whites. What makes a leader? I believe a leader to be intelligent ,tough, and has the determination to achieve a goal. Having certain skills will have an impact on you being a trustable leader. Being selfless and caring are also characteristics. Malcolm X his birth name Malcolm Little is a fine a example of a leader and has most of these leadership qualities.
