The assassination of Malcolm x was unjustified because he was a civil rights activist and because he spoke the truth about Elijah Mohammad and left the NOI, however when Malcolm x spoke on the NOI in his speeches and expressions it created jealousy and rivalry within the organization.
Malcolm has often been described as one of the most influential African Americans in history, his assassination was unjustified because they didn't do enough investigation. Malcolm left the NOI when he found out the truth about Elijah Mohammad. A week before Malcolm was killed his house was set on fire February 14, 1966. Malcolm was shot 7 times. one of the shooters got shot in the leg his name was Thomas hagan , he was taken to the hospital then later went to prison to join the two others that got caught.The men's names that were caught were Thomas hagan, Muhammad Abdul, and Kahlil Islam.
In the investigation with hagan he says “Malcolm x broke with the NOI and in doing so there was controversy as to some of the statements he was making about the leader.” and also admitted to killing Malcolm. The other two men pleaded that they were insistent and they had nothing to do with the assassination. All were convicted of the murder of Malcolm x, they were sentenced 20 years to life.
Muhammad Abdul was realised 19 years (1985) after the assassination and Kahlil Islam was released 21 years (1985)after the assassination. Hagan talks to parole officers and says, “the NOI had nothing to do with the assassination and that they took it into thair own hands.” but he also says, “history reveals what Malcolm was saying was
