Description of the Community Some may think the four locations of Mama’s Happy are completely separate businesses, carrying completely different products and with a different customer demographic at each store. However, even though the four stores are located in different communities around the Twin City area, and much of the merchandise is in fact one-of-a-kind, the type of products and the overall feel of the stores is actually very similar. Along with having the same type of personality to the stores, the customer tends to be the same across the locations as well. Out of this average, there are approximately 174,425 middle aged women living in the state of Minnesota. These women make up the third most populated age group. The average Mama’s Happy customer is typically between the ages of 40-44, which focuses right inside of the target market. A research shows that these middle aged women contribute to the majority of citizens who are starting to care about the environment more recently. While most companies main priority is producing the next best thing, our environment suffers due to the pollution that the factories continue to produce while making these new items. The Twin Cities has graduated from moderate air quality to healthy over the recent years, and are ahead of most cities fighting this battle throughout the United States. This pollution that the United States produces is primarily due to car exhaust, factories, and even simply having the power running daily in your household. After making these facts known to the public, citizens of the United States started to care more about the environment, and what they were doing to conserve energy. Due to the love for our environment, people have been beginning to reveal interest in reusing old, valuable items rather than throw them out to get the newer products.
