The AVID program has had a positive impact in my academics, and in my life by helping me focus, enrich, and solidify my goals. I can say with full confidence that AVID has become an integral part of my High School year that equipped me with the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in college. As an immigrant who came to the United States five years ago and English being my third language, the AVID program challenged me to think critically and strive to learn more. Personality wise, there are major changes that I observed once I joined the program.

For an example, if you did not have mental strength ,you would think that this action is too hard and that I can not do that. If you did not have agility then you would not be active and you wouldn't have the power to be active.
The assignment I have enjoyed the most is the researched essay. I have enjoyed it because I was able to choose my own topic, and I have learned a lot about the APA style of writing. The topic I chose for my essay was CrossFit. I have really enjoyed reading and learning about CrossFit. CrossFit has always seemed a bit scary to me.
This year I set out to improve this very important skill. Time management is a skill that will be important all throughout your life. In the past I use to just barely turn my assignments in by the deadline or even sometimes past it. I used a planner and reminders on my phone to help me with this. I was tired of always feeling rushed to finish assignments or even chores around my house that I googled ways to improve on not being distracted which contributed to my time management.

I believe that through these points, it shows that Germany was not solely to blame, but it did contribute greatly to the sequence of events that led to the war. An example of a life-changing milestone or right of passage in a person 's life is something that changes a person in multiple different ways. When I was younger, I would always hear my older brother Jay, ask my grandparents if he could drive the four wheeler, and always hearing him ask finally inspired me to try and ask to see if I could drive it. Believe me when I say I was persistent in asking. My grandparents, they never heard the end of it from me. One day I asked again, with so much hope that I would lose if they said no.
The intervention for Abdiel is targeting an outcome of enhanced occupational performance (American Occupational Therapy Association, 2014). Since he perceives his insufficient time management hindering his performance, Abdiel will work to develop and enhance his minimal time management skills. Using the Canadian occupational performance measure (COPM), will track Abdiel’s perceived satisfaction, and performance of his identified occupational problem areas. Furthermore, using the time management questionnaire (TMQ), he will identify his planning strategies and attitudes towards time. This will help gauge development in planning strategies and his feelings about his time.
In what seemed like little more than the blink of an eye, my time management skills were put to extreme tests in order to balance work and college. However, I very rarely found myself choosing between work or school. Time became an item of great value to me, but my focus was on finding the possibility of success in both work and school. Many times, this meant reading a textbook during the graveyard shift at Waffle House, or giving my coworker a list of Spanish vocabulary words to quiz me on while we organized the stock room at Peter Glenn.
