The Manifest Destiny was a great time in history, it had socially impact, gained a lot of ground from the war with Mexico and economically impact too. The Manifest Destiny had a lot of background so some of it was that Manifest Destiny is the belief that Americans had the right,or even the duty, to expand westward across the North American continent from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. In order to accomplish this destiny, Americans did not flinch at atrocities such as provoking a war with Mexico or slaughtering Indians. This will show how the Manifest Destiny impacted America. The Manifest Destiny in the economy. America was still new and small, and its economy. Getting the new land in the Manifest Destiny would not only increase the land they owned. Texas Revolution, The Settlers were brought into Texas, but the Settlers had to follow two guidelines they had to be loyal to the Mexican government, become Roman Catholic. The now changing population made the Tejas angry because they were becoming overpopulated. The ever changing geography was affecting everyone and the Battle of the Alamo broke loose. The Alamo was won by the Mexicans but twelve years later the U.S. annexed Texas. Then the Mexicans became angry and started wars. The Mexican War, The United States offered Mexico, California and Mexico for thirty million dollars. They did this because they wanted to expand their land West.
