The mansion: Rising Action The mansion is where most of the main story takes place. It is where Alex spends most of his time studying to become a mage. There are also many sub plots that are revealed in the library and in the cafeteria. In the mansion all of the unwanteds live under the protection of Mr. Today. The mansion was made to protect the unwanteds from the land of Quill if they ever found out that they lived. The lawn: Climax The lawn is in front of the mansion and is where many of the students study and play. The lawn is right behind the wall which means that the land of Quill can’t see them. It is connected to the magical forest next to the mansion and the lake. Later in the book the government attacks them on the lawn and on the wall. Today. Mr. Today has an illusion on the land so that the Quillians don’t attack them with their army. Artimé contains a large lake behind the mansion, the lawn, and the forest. Near the end of the story Artimé gets exposed by Aaron and the governors and they launch an attack on them. All of the students defend themselves and defeat the army. Mr. Today decides not to combine both of the lands into a single whole to protect Artimé from everyone else. Mr. Today’s Office: Rising Action His office is a part of the building only some students can see. His office has an important part in the story because it is where Alex learns to make a door to go to his brothers room in the University. Because Aaron make the door and visits his brother his brother learns that Artimé exists and attacks the unwanteds.
