Brutus, Hero or Traitor?
Heroes are portrayed to sacrifice themselves or the things they love to help or save other people, they pursue what they believe is right and fight for justice, since heroes do this all from the pure goodness of their hearts. Heroes are known to do great things, from saving someone from getting hurt, to liberating an entire nation, but all have one common factor, they do this because they believe it’s right and in the greatest interest of others. In Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, Marcus Junius Brutus is a hero for he has portrayed these traits of altruism, tenacity, and goodness in Shakespeare’s famous play.

Florence Nightingale, a nurse who revolutionized sanitation in hospitals during the Crimean war, shows tenacity through pursuing her calling as a nurse during a time when being a nurse was a terrible and disgusting job, and where women like her were supposed to just get married and have a family. She fought for her way to become a nurse and gain the responsibility to sanitize hospitals despite her family, friends, doctors, and even soldiers who tried to tell her to not do so. This shows how determined she is to pursue her dreams and beliefs against all challenges in her way. Brutus also portrays tenacity through having to kill Caesar despite how he knew it would be hard to explain to the people as to why he had to kill him and ruin his reputation as a respected man of Rome, all so that he could protect his beloved nation. This reveals that Brutus pursued killing Caesar despite all these risks he faced and damages to his reputation and honor because he believed killing Caesar was for the good of
