“Laissez le bon temps rouler!” or “Let the good times roll!” the crowd roars through the streamers and illuminated streets of Louisiana. Hundreds of people are in the crowd, and in the middle of the crowd, there’s a gigantic green, orange, and blue dragon float, making its way up Napoleon Avenue. You can smell the mouth-watering food from restaurants. People cheer, dance, run, jump, and play around. You can see the majestic Mississippi River, the second longest river in the U.S. This is the parade of Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras is not just a big party in New Orleans, but it is also the biggest festival in Louisiana. It is also a big part of the amazing culture and history in Louisiana. People also come here for the interesting geography.
