The article, talks about the importance of hard work and perseverance against failure and low self- esteem. Margaret M. Perlis analyzes the TED talk of Professor Duckworth. Grit has five important characteristics that help to develop and to fight against the soft growth. For someone to fight it, as human we should be able to have the five characteristics of Grit such as Courage, Conscientiousness: Achievement Oriented vs.Dependable , Long- Term Goals and Endurance: Follow Through, Resilience: Optimism ,Confidence, and Creativity, Excellence vs Perfection. Each of those key points are important facts about Grit in our life and it also describes each of them as keys of success. As it placed, Courage as one of keys because it play one of the important role in our daily life.
