In the article entitled, "Scenes from a Life in NegroLand", Margo Jefferson depicts to reads the struggles and inequalities negros were faced with. She faces readers with different struggles and inequalities one family was faced with. This particular negro family had a family member who was a very good doctor. Even with a doctor in the family, the children would be excluded and made fun of. People would assume things about the family that weren't true. Margo Jefferson states, " Who are"you"?
