My second nominee is; Nellie Mcclung. "She was spirited, she was amazing, she was effective," afew commonly used words to describe Nellie McClung. She was a female activist, One of Nellie 's best influences was her mom. Her family 's influence was not a doubt the reason she became an activist. Her mom thought that every child had the right to an education, and her hole family encouraged her to learn all she could.
Mary Godfrey was born on July 3, 1913 . While her obituary states that she was born in the small southern town, Charlotte Court House, Virginia, in a personal interview, Godfrey’s states she was born in New York, but people would like to think she is from Virginia (Hollingsworth, 1998, p. 200). At some point, Godfrey’s family migrated from Charlotte Court House, Virginia to New York City. Godfrey was one of eight children of Henry B. Godfrey and Louise Read. Her older sister, Cleveland Community Activist and journalist, Stella Godfrey White Bigham was the first African American woman to sit on the Cleveland Transit System board whose work promoted interracial understanding.
Wes Moore. The guy that had a lot of obstacles through his life that got him where he is today, but he didn’t do it alone. Just like anyone you need to have a positive influence on your life. It could be anyone teacher, boss, parent, friend. Anyone that drives you to want to succeed and for Wes that was his mother, Joy.
The person I consider to be an influential hero is Moira Smith. I refer to Moira Smith as a hero because she saved many strangers’ lives. Her life was dedicated to saving citizens from disasters that had occurred. Moira had even saved victims in exchange for her own life. Most people cannot do such a selfless thing as to risk their life to save others’.
Throughout history, there have been many influential people. For example, individuals influence the world by protesting what is right, discovering something new, or using their resources to help others with their generosity. Specifically, Milton Hershey is someone who has influenced a lot of people. Milton Hershey is influential because of him helping people who were in need, his accomplishments he made in the candy business, admirable traits that make him who he was and was know for. Milton Hershey is influential because of remarkable things he did for others.
What is inspiration? That question went through my mind when my teacher told me about this project. It really got me thinking about who has inspired me that 's something you just don 't think of, but then I got to thinking and I thought my grandpa. Jud Reincke my grandpa was born and raised in Marshall where he stayed his whole life, married about 60 years, had three kids Mark,Mike, and my dad Norm Reincke. Jud later had four grand kids Matt ,Laurie ,my brother Trace, and me.
A character that impacted me the most is Robert Gould Shaw. One of a couple reasons he impacted me the most is by always showing respect to his fellow soldiers which made me feel like I need to become more respectful to my friends and family. Another way Robert Shaw impacted me was Robert's good leadership which made me feel like I should maybe become a better role model to my younger sisters. Robert also impacted me by making me feel to never give up no matter if you're afraid because quitting lasts forever. Robert also made me feel like taking advantage of any good opportunity that comes your way, for example Robert was offered to be a colonel to a regiment of colored soldiers he accepted the role and became a colonel, the regiment was called to 54th.
One individual that truly has influenced me is my former Pastor, but still spiritual partner... Prophetess Jackie Banks. Her early life was essentially an atrocity tainted by drug abuse, promiscuous sexual activities, larceny, and tons of interactions with our nation's criminal justice system. She took on a career of being a criminal, and endured it for over twenty years. Eventually while “roaming the streets” she encountered an evangelist, and from that moment shifted her ambitions from felonious to divine.
My eagle Scout advisor, Mr, Takle This person has helped me with scouting without all my years and even outside of scouting. She has been there since I was little and always knows what’s best for me. Even all the constant questions of “Have you called this person yet or how far are you on your project” I cant thank you enough.
My maternal grandfather. Whenever he feels strongly about a topic, he will make sure people know where he stands on the issue. He is, without a trace of doubt, the most passionate person I know. If he’s interested in a topic,
I have had, in my life, many people that have made a huge difference. If someone changes your entire life or your outlook on it, you can definitely testify to the power of one. I think someone that can reach out to just one person 's life is just as important as someone who can change the lives of millions. In addition, one thing that I think is very important to note is that, in recognizing the power of one person to make a difference, to change the world, we must also note the contributions of others to help put that person where they are. Martin Luther King, leader of the
Either way, both were influences. The people in my life that influenced me in a positive way always empowered me. They raised me up; they believed in my potential even when I could not see it for myself. They supported, cared for and listened intently to my concerns and needs. Goal after goal was met, trust was evident and the moral was positive and uplifting.
In this speech, I will address how my main influences have affected my life. My main influence is my family. My mother, father, and younger sister. My family has been my greatest influence from the beginning.
I had people who looked up to me. It meant so much to me that some of my peers saw me as an inspiration. I distinguished myself the most
