Marilyn Monroe Norma Jean Mortenson, otherwise known as Marilyn Monroe, had a breathy voice, personal charm, and bombshell looks. Little did she know in 1946, her beautiful voice and personality would be her rise to fame? Many people to this day are still die-hard fans of her movies, music, and beauty. But, few know what type of life she actually lived and the hardships that she went through to get to her climax and how she took her life. All of her perseverance and accomplishments lead up to a very sorrowful ending, and it all started with a girl who just wanted to be noticed. Merchant Marine, and the marriage did not remain very long after. They moved to the South Pacific and lived with Jim’s mother. Marilyn decided that she would work as a parachute inspector and an aircraft paint sprayer to bring in some extra money. She was finally living the adult life. But, when Marilyn landed a mini-modeling job down in the Pacific, her mother-in-law and husband were not too thrilled about it. She decided to move out and divorce Jim (McHenry 1). But the publicity crowded around them and they divorced within a year. After the divorce, she became unsatisfied with her career. Marilyn began studying with a man at the Actor’s Studio in New York and surfaced as a comedienne. She then married playwright Arthur Miller and made appearances in a few more movies. They lived quietly in New York and Connecticut for the next couple of years while she continued to study in the Actor’s Studio, preforming in more comedies like Billy Wilder’s film, “Some Like It Hot”. Monroe, a perfectionist, started to grow worried about her future as an actress. Knowing that she would not be young forever and that it would be hard to keep her youthful beauty, she sought out to find anything that might help her. Her last movie that she had starred in was called, “The Misfits”. But before the movie was even released, her and Arthur Miller were divorced. All together, her movies grossed out at more than two-hundred million dollars which had been more than any other entertainer of that time (Marilyn Monroe
